Our close friend, former brother in arms and stuntman Steve Truglia, was killed in a tragic helicopter abseil world record attempt in China last week. His death on 17th November has been well documented in the media, culminating in a fitting tribute being paid with a full page obituary in The Times Newspaper yesterday.
To many, the life of a stuntman is a glamorous job and indeed on many occasions it was; however it was also dangerous. Despite the glamour, Steve was very down to earth and not the least bit flashy. Indeed, he spent most of his earnings caring for his elderly mother who sadly has advanced alzheimers.
Consequently Steve was not a wealthy man, and due to the extreme nature of last week’s event, no insurance policy was in place for repatriation in the event of his death.
We, his close friends and colleagues, want to bring our friend home so that we can give him a proper send off, pay our respects and say goodbye. We need your help to do that, so if you are able to, please make a donation and help us achieve our goal.
PS. Our boy is coming home! We'll let you know when. Now we've raised the bar, for Steve's lovely mum. All further donations will go to making sure Rosa can remain in her own home.
