Hope for Jeff

When a friend is in need we often want so much to help but don't know how to do so. As many of you know by now, Jeff was diagnosed with colon cancer that is mastic to his liver. The doctors gave him little hope until they found the Mayo Clinic. At this time we are hopeful that he may be a candidate for a risky procedure called ALPPS. But first he has to endure an aggressive chemo treatment to see if he responds. If he does the doctors will decide if they feel he is strong enough to undergo the procedure and then he will need many more prayers that they can force the unaffected 10% of his liver to grow large enough to sustain life. You can imagine this is very taxing on them as a family. They are down to one income (Kerry's) with mounting medical expenses, travel expenses, home and life.

I know as their friend, the feeling of helplessness is overwhelming most days. As much as we all want to help, there is so much of this journey that Jeff, Kerry and their children have to go thru by themselves. But what we CAN do is help them financially with all of the upcoming expenses that are adding additional stress for them.

Jeff and Kerry haven’t asked for help, but I would like to ask for them. As for me the overwhelming desire to help is heartbreaking for me and this is one way I know I can begin a step in relieving some of the stresses of the financial burdens that are weighing heavily on them. I’ve set up this Go Fund Me account for all who feel compelled to donate as well. Every little bit helps, and I know will be greatly appreciated.
