Meet my brave son Vincenzo (ENZO), a shining star who has been facing a tough journey starting earlier this year. After a series of tests, we received the diagnosis that Enzo was battling pancreatic cancer, accompanied by blood clots in his lungs and excruciating back pain, managed with constant pain medication via a portable device. The large mass had encrusted all of his arteries, making the situation very serious, and the doctors sprang into action to provide immediate treatment.

As a mother, it's heart-wrenching to hear that my son is suffering from this formidable disease, but we refuse to let it define us. Enzo embarked on a challenging chemotherapy journey mid-July, receiving a potent treatment that the doctors called a 'lethal cocktail,' aimed at shrinking the cancer to pave the way for surgery. Although the surgery would be high-risk, we held onto hope.

The treatment involved a continuous 48-hour administration every week, with Enzo being closely monitored at Princess Margaret Hospital. After six rounds of chemotherapy, a CT scan revealed that the treatment didn't yield the desired results, and the cancer had spread to his liver. Undeterred, doctors changed course, and Enzo is now on a new medication and dosage. Chemotherapy's unpredictable effects have brought on a need for blood thinners, cellulitis infections, needing to take antibiotics, have a blood transfusion, numbness in his toes and fingers and swollen legs, making it difficult for him to walk or stand, forcing him to take a break from work. His wife Kellie, who is employed in a low-wage position, is compelled to take time off from work to provide care for Enzo when he requires additional assistance. All funds donated will be going directly to Enzo for medical bills, rent, meals, and anything they need to help him through this difficult time.
