Lt. Dan is a four year old boxer who was recently diagnosed with a horrible disease. He is fighting against osteosarcoma, a very aggressive form of bone cancer. Most dogs with this disease have a much better prognosis when the  affected limb is amputated. However, Dan is not like most dogs and already had a limb amputated at a very early age due to a bad trauma. Amanda and Bryan, Lt. Dan's loving owners, want to do everything they can for their beloved furry child. Since an amputation really is not the best treatment for this already three-legged doggy he would need costly radiation procedures.
