At the beginning of December 2023, my husband, Uber/Lyft Driver Cătălin Onişoru was diagnosed with Lymph node, positive for malignant cells. Stage 3. Squamous cell carcinoma with acute inflammation. He works hard (15 hour days). During Covid he didn't stop for a moment, he worked hard at the time in New York City, he transported many people who work in the medical system, sick people, maybe infected with Covid. He was not afraid.

At the end of August 2023, my husband started to cough, sneeze and have difficulty swallowing. Being allergy season, we thought maybe he was allergic. Then a lump started growing under his left ear and I thought it might be an infection from the tooth. I never thought for a second that it could be cancer.

That ganglion started to be visible and on November 8, 2023 was the first visit to the primary doctor. Then followed the CT-scan and blood tests, the first visit to a specialist doctor, a biopsy, the second visit to a specialist doctor, PET-CT scan. Cost so far: $6,953.76

I want to bring his life back, a happy life, a life without cancer.

We are now raising funds for Catalin to cover parts of the treatment not covered by medical insurance.
