My name is Jenna and I am a single mother with small children. We have been living (renting) our home for 12 years. My babies have grown up here and taken their first steps in this home. A few years ago, we were switched to a month-to-month type contract when we were offered to buy the home but could not at the time. On February 1st, 2025, we were given a 60-day notice to vacate or, again, buy the home. We have to be out by March 31st, 2025.

Due to dealing with some major health issues, I am not working at the time, but my 2 young adult sons (19 & 24) living in the home are working right now at a small pizza joint in town.

This notice to vacate gave us no time to get a deposit for a new rental together. I don't even know if we will find something in TIME and I'm really worried that the 6 of us will be homeless. We simply don't have enough time to get together the money we need to move by March 31st. We will need a storage unit (in case we do become homeless), a U-Haul truck, and most of all, a deposit to secure a new rental ASAP.

Where we live, rentals for a 3-4 bedroom house cost between $2500 & 3k+ a month, so a deposit will be double that, as a rental requires first and last month's rent upfront in order to move in.

I really hate asking for help, but we are looking at being homeless if we can't secure a new rental by March 31. Mind you, we are a family of 6, so we can't just go stay on someone's couch, sadly. All our money just went to bills in our current rental, and then we were hit with this notice after 12 years here as loyal & reliable tenants. We are asking for any help you can possibly provide so we can avoid being homeless—anything will help.
