Support Pat through his esophageal cancer treatment

Dear friends, family, and community,

As many of you may already know, my dad, Pat, has recently received a diagnosis of esophageal cancer. Though his spirits remain high and he’s still feeling fairly well, he faces a challenging road ahead and an unclear prognosis. Esophageal cancer is difficult to treat, and any chance of cure requires aggressive chemotherapy and an extensive, complicated surgery that involves removing most of the esophagus. At this point, we know Pat will soon be starting chemotherapy and, pending the results of initial treatment and additional testing, the surgery may be scheduled in the coming months.

If you know Pat, you know his warmth and generosity have touched the lives of many. As a long-time real estate broker and car enthusiast, Pat has always been passionate about life and tireless in his work. However, this diagnosis means he will be unable to work for an extended period and he will hire out individuals to perform his various monthly duties. His year has been filled with various hospital treatments including double heart stents in January and radiation for cancer to his right ear May through September.

Pat is not one to ask for help, but he needs our support.

To help alleviate the burden of medical and living expenses during this challenging time, we are launching a GoFundMe campaign with an exciting twist! Everyone who makes a donation of $100 or more will have a chance to win Pat’s beloved 1988 BMW M6, one of only 1,500 ever made worldwide, with just 479 manufactured for the U.S. market. This car is particularly special to Pat and he's never driven it any significant distance. It is far from perfect, yet very collectible nonetheless. He has had it for many years and wants to offer it as a way of thanking all of you for your help.
