A Place to Call Home

As most of you know, we sold our house in Philly and moved to Vermont in January of 2020 so Addie could start a new job selling solar panels. You probably also recall that Addie got laid off April 2 that year due to the pandemic. We were unfortunately turned down for unemployment initially, and had to live off the profit from our home sale to survive. We have since been stuck in our very overpriced rental, living paycheck to paycheck despite both of us working 40+ hours a week. We live in a house so small that half our belongings have been in storage the past three years, and we can’t invite people over. While our dream is to have a bit of land, in the short term we are now hoping to buy a mobile home so we can actually save some money. There is a wonderful opportunity in the town we currently live in, we just need a little help with down payment, as the 100% USDA mortgage program doesn’t cover mobile homes. Please help us get to a better place if you can.
