Help Adrian Figgins

In July of this year Adrian became very sick. He started having trouble breathing and even simple tasks became almost impossible to do. He was first hospitalized in October, and initially his doctors and specialists thought his lung problems were caused by birds that his mother had for years. The doctors put him on steroids in hopes that he would improve, but he did not. Adrian has been unable to work since October 9th. He has to constantly be on oxygen in order to function. Since he was not improving his doctors decided a lung biopsy would be needed to diagnose what exactly was going on. Adrian had the biopsy done this past Tuesday, December 16th, and on Thursday the 18th his biopsy results came in. Adrian has been officially diagnosed with a rare incurable lung disease called Pulmonary Alveolar Proteinosis or PAP for short. The only thing the doctors can do is what's called a lung lavage, or where they will flush each lung out with saline in hopes that it will alleviate the symptoms for a prolonged amount of time. If the lung lavage fails, he will need a double lung tansplant. As you can imagine, with him not being able to work, and with all the time he has already spent in the hospital, and all the time he has coming where he will need major procedures done, his medical, as well as personal bills are piling up. I know Adrian through my sister, Angela. Adrian and Angela recently got engaged, and now they are being faced with what will probably be the most difficult thing they will ever go through.
