Help Athena Walk Again
Hi everyone,
My name is Shannen and this is my beautiful XL Bully, Athena – she’s just 2 years old and the heart of our little family. She’s full of love, chaos and joy… so much so, we call her Beans because she never stops!

What’s Happened
Over the past few weeks, everything changed.
Athena suddenly lost the use of her back legs, which was absolutely terrifying. We went through endless stress, tests and waiting for X-rays, and were even told it could be neurological.
Thankfully, we now have an answer… but not an easy one.
Athena has ruptured both cruciate ligaments and needs surgery on both back legs to be able to walk, play and live a normal, happy life again.

Why I’m Asking for Help
I’ve found an amazing vet who has successfully operated on another Bully from our community, so I know she will be in safe hands.
But the reality is the cost is more than I can manage alone, and I never expected something like this to happen so young.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned through all of this, it’s just how supportive the dog community is — especially the XL Bully community, which I honestly never expected until now. I really hate asking, but I’m hoping you might be able to support us through this too.
