Hi, my name is Jenny & I am raising funds for my baby boy, Kiedis. I rushed him to the hospital as he was internally bleeding due to a mass on his spleen. The vets performed a splenectomy, in which his entire spleen was removed along with 3 liters of blood that had pooled in his belly. We will have to spend the next several days in the ER, as he needs to be closely monitored. His surgery to remove his spleen cost $10,000.

No amount of preparation could have fully prepared me for the overwhelming feeling of sadness I feel. He is my best friend - we are joined at the hip and we do absolutely everything together.

They have sent his spleen off to pathology. It will be about a week before we get the results. If it’s benign, he could live a long happy life. If it’s cancerous, we will start chemotherapy and we will fight the damn thing.
