I have created a Go Fund Me  for my family as a last resort to raise funds to help with the hardships that we are facing as a result of covid.

My husband, Matthew is a very hard worker and has supported our family as a Sheet Metal Journeyman for many years. He was laid off due to lack of work, as covid has directly affected the construction industry and infrastructure.

Matthew has now been out of work for 13 consecutive months. In Spring of 2020, he was diagnosed with a serious heart condition that requires surgery. He was advised by his cardiologist that any increase in his heart rate could be fatal.  The strain that covid has put on our healthcare system has resulted in major delays for people awaiting surgery, just like my husband. This has prevented my husband for looking for work in other fields.

Many times over the last year our family has had to choose between food or rent, medical expenses or rent, paying bills or rent...

Christmas Eve our landlord dropped off an eviction notice. 

My family is now fighting to raise the funds to save our rental home and are facing homelessness or being split up into shelters in different areas of the province if we are unable to cover our rental arrears.

I have never been one to ask for help, but I have no other options left.

Please help my family have a home and be able to stay together ❤️
