Hi, I'm Bill.

In July, my other half had a right thalmic hemorrhagic stroke. Since that time, we found out that he had four previous micro-strokes, not TIAs, but full micro-strokes. Left side weakness has left him having an inability to work, but luckily he does not need full time nursing care. He is slowly healing, but like I said, he is unable to work so it is just my income trying to keep us housed and fed. His job let him go as his absences were not covered under FMLA, and I'm not making enough to keep up with the bills; mortgage, insurance, utilities, food, medicine and care. I am trying my best, but I feel like I am failing as we are behind on all of them. I have to take time off from work to take him to appointments, and due to a filing mistake, FMLA won't cover my time off. We have filed for SSI and are waiting for that to kick in, but we do not know when that may be.
