Hello all,

For those of you who don't know, my name is Daniel Chiaccio and I am a printmaker/small business owner currently residing in Brattleboro VT. For the past 3 years I have been the sole proprietor for a community printmaking studio called First Proof. Here at First Proof we offer various printmaking workshops, memberships, daily events, partner with local non profits and so much more! It has been a pleasure working with such a vibrant and supportive community. Sadly, I have hit some pretty rough medical issues and I am asking for your help.

On July 18th 2023 I was diagnosed with Lymphoma. This of course came as a total shock to me, and I am still trying to navigate my treatment. After a biopsy I was informed that I had Hodgkins Lymphoma, and that I will need to undergo 6 months of chemotherapy. 12 sessions in total. The doctors do not know what caused the cancer or lymphoma in general. Just bad luck.

Being the sole owner and employee of First Proof, I have found it very difficult, and sometimes impossible to focus on running a business and caner treatment. The studio is now operating at partial capacity, and this being my only source of income, can be very challenging. During the chemotherapy sessions I will have no choice but to close up shop for the day, which has already been a financial burden.

I am kindly and humbly asking for your support during this time. Every donation will go directly towards ensuring First Proof will weather this storm, it will also provide me with a great deal of comfort knowing I will have one less thing to stress about during this difficult time.
