I recently received a letter saying that I was nominated/invited to the National Youth Forum for a medical program at UCLA for 9 days in June 2016.
Only 2 students from my high school were nominated/invited to this.  I was nominated because of my interest in medicine (I want to be a nurse practitioner or an ER nurse), my academic excellence and my leadership skills. This is such an honor and is going to be such an amazing experience with all of the hands-on training that I will get.!!  (I will get to be in the operating room and WATCH a knee replacement while I am attending this 9 day medical forum, amongst other medical experiences). 
The total cost of the program is $3,440 and it covers all 9 days of room & board, all my food while I'm there, all the books & tuition and I will also receive 2 college units.!!
I am working hard to raise money to pay for this amazing experience by selling my old clothing and other things online, I'm babysitting as much as possible, and teaching swim lessons.  Unfortunately even with all my continuing efforts, the cost of this is too much for me & my family to afford so I am reaching out to you to ask for your support.   Any contribution will help & will be greatly appreciated.!!  Payments have to be made monthly with the entire balance due by March 1st.
