Helping a friend co-worker

Our dearest friend who is also our co-worker is needing any help that can be given.  Laura’s husband Mike was hit head on by a drunk driver on December 20th when he was on his way home from work.  Mike was 5 minutes away from making it home when he was hit.  The jaws of life had to be used to get him out of the car before life saving measures could be rendered.  Mike is in critical care at UNMH and has had 3 surgeries already.  Mike suffered internal bleeding, shattered bones, a brain bleed to just name a few of his critical injuries.  Mike will need many more surgeries ahead for months to come. As well as long road of recovery. 

Laura and Mike have 4 children. The car is total and was their only working vehicle.

In knowing Laura, you would know she doesn’t ask for help and she is always willing to help others.  She is the hardest worker and puts in many hours to provide for her family.  This is why we are asking for help, because she would never ask herself.  Being in healthcare, Laura is the one helping others and putting herself last.  Laura recently recovered from Covid and had just returned work.  Laura isn’t able to work at this time, since she is needing to care for the children, her mom, and Mike.  Mike was the one who stayed home to care for the kids and Laura’s mom while Laura worked.  Now, with both of them not working, they need our help more than ever.
