Help to Rebuild After House Fire

On January 4, 2025, my house burned down.

The fire started outside and set our firewood and porch on fire, which unfortunately fueled the fire to grow more. On that day, it was so windy that it only blew the fire toward our house more. It took down our house in just two hours.

My brother was at the house at the time while the rest of my family was in town buying groceries for the next two weeks since it’s cheaper to buy in bulk in the city.

That was when we got the call that our house caught fire with our yard, food, cars, clothes, and our pets all trapped inside. My brother got out with the help of neighbors, but by the time we were able to get home, the whole house was ash. There was nothing recognizable in the smolders.

Now we have no money. The money provided by the Red Cross was minimal and will only pay for our living arrangements for a week. We are relying on donated clothes and food to survive. But after that is uncertain. We have many bills that still need to be paid and financial burdens that we are struggling to pay, even before the fire they were a struggle.
