Thank you for considering my family in this GoFundMe in our efforts to keep our heads above water for a few months as we wait for disability due to the stage 4 colon cancer that took over my life in November.

Before I had to stop working, I was a Provider Specialist working with children for a non-profit agency. The picture shows me holding my infant nephew. Babies have always been my happy place.

I'm a single mother of a 17 year old child with autism. As most single parents do, I have lived paycheck to paycheck for the past 17 years, just getting by. I went to the hospital the day before Halloween 2014, thinking I needed my gallbladder removed, only to discover I have stage IV colon cancer that has spread to my liver.

We don't need much. We are hoping to raise a few months of rent money, just to get us by until disability kicks in. By the grace of God, It will happen quickly. Cases such as mine are usually approved a little more quickly, due to the nature of the beast .
