Im Steven Velez, i’m 18 (turning 19) years old and i’m stuck. I’ve been living with my grandparents since i was around 9 years old due to domestic violence issues in my house, once they had custody things seemed alright for the most part, my grandmother Lisa, was the only person i had in my life however that would genuinely protect me the best she could, she has recently passed and since then things had been worse than ever, i have always witness abused in every corner of my immediate family, but I am personally victim to it everyday; i cant even leave my room for food because i am afraid of being subject to verbal and mental abuse I have been experiencing daily for months on end. My grandmother had died from a very long battle with cancer, and during her last few weeks/months i was diagnosed with a serious chronic illness myself, i had lost my job due to it, being in and out of the hospital. I was completely down and out and then my grandmother passed. In this current moment I am slightly more recovered and trying to use every resource at my disposal and i barely have any. I just got finished with some interviews, and I’m waiting on that, i’ve been living off of savings since my grandma has passed and expected to stay with my family a little longer until i got established but I really need a kick start to move out ASAP, i fear my safety and the police don’t help even when something becomes physical, i plan on going to family court but there’s only so much i can do when both parties in the house do not care about me and are actively against me. I never ever ask for help or assistance for the fear of being a bother, and this is my last resort. I need a kick start to find an apartment or some type of housing; i’ll be making my own money soon but it’s not enough to sustain, so i just need a boost in the beginning. All money will go into my savings and will be taken out only to spend on a place to stay or transportation. thank you and please help me if you can. i’m running out of time
