Happy Holidays Everyone!

Many of you may already know about my mother's recent diagnosis of uterine cancer. We are trying to remain cheerful this holiday season even after going through the hysterectomy with some surgical complications that led to a 10 day hospital stay and news of radiation and chemo treatments scheduled to start right after the new year.

To make my mother's journey through cancer treatment a little bit easier, Paige and I have a plan. We initially were looking at wigs we could purchase to give as a gift along with some other recommended products for patients going through chemo treatments. What we found is that wigs are expensive and it's hard to find any that would make my mother look like herself. So, together we have decided to chop our hair off and have it made into a  natural looking wig styled to her current hair style and color. We are hoping that by giving her a way to look as close to herself as possible will make her feel a little bit more like herself during this difficult time.  Paige and I have already set up an appointment with the wig maker right after Christmas, while we are home for the holidays.

We've not only created this page to help assist us in our plan, but also with the hope that as a community of family and friends we can show her our love with prayers and messages of support throughout her journey. So, please feel free to send this message on to anyone we may have missed.
