Anthony Belmonte III

Anthony Belmonte III, age 34, was born into eternal life on Friday, October 8, 2021, in the comfort of his Yankee room at home in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Born January 12, 1987 in Brookhaven, New York to Anthony Belmonte Jr. and Karen Garappolo Belmonte, his family moved to Charlotte, NC in 1995. He was a lifelong Yankees and Jets fan and up until his last days could tell you any random fact about those teams, even if he couldn’t remember what he had for breakfast. He was commonly known by his nickname, Shifty.

He had a passion for fixing things and used that passion and expertise learned from his father to build a career in the multi-family maintenance industry. When he was unable to work anymore, he changed careers to be the best stay at home dad ever and go on daily adventures with his daughter, Daniella. He always had a smile on his face and could strike up a conversation with anyone, anywhere, at any time. Anthony adored his family. He married the love of his life, Sarah, in 2015 at Steele Creek Church of Charlotte. Their children Daniella Grace and L.T. were his world. He taught them many life skills and how to look on the bright side no matter what is thrown their way. Anthony always credited his parents for teaching him to be the best man in the face of adversary.

He is survived by his wife, Sarah Schoormann Belmonte; children Daniella Grace Belmonte and Anthony Belmonte IV (L.T.); parents Anthony Belmonte Jr. and Karen Belmonte (Garappolo); siblings Derrick Belmonte (Chekira) and Stefanie Belmonte (Zack); nieces Khloe and Lakelyn; grandmother Alice Belmonte, grandmother Genevive Parker; mother-in-law Vera Treichel (Larry Mangan); father-in-law Reinhard Schoormann; sister-in-law Rebecca Schoormann; and many loved aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Anthony Belmonte and John Garappolo.
