It is with a broken heart we share with those of you who care so much, that Angie past away, Sat. April 22nd, around 11:00PM surrounded by family, after losing her battle with cancer.
Preceded in death by her mother, Phylis (Pederson) Staricha; survived by her father, Richard Pederson; husband, Douglas Hagen; children Mike (Lauren) Schneider, Curtis (Amanda) Schneider, Jon Hagen, Jennifer (Chris) Frey, Ashley & Lauren Hagen; 6 grandchildren (Ethan, Liam, Corbin, Dennis, Brandianna, & Cannon); brother, Dean Pederson; & sister, Lisa Pederson.
Born in St. Paul, Angela grew up in Cottage Grove and attended Park Sr High School, as well as graduated from Globe University. Angie loved life and surrounded herself with wonderful people; taking delight in supporting others, loving animals, enjoying the outdoors regularly, and being an avid sports fan.
No-one could believe it when we received the devastating news that Angie had passed away. Thankfully she was surrounded by the love of her family, and most of us believe, her mother (Phylis), there to guide her during her passage.
Angela was only 48 and had so much life left to live. Angie was raised and confirmed Lutheran, but wasn't a religious person, more spiritual. Sadly she leaves behind a large family, including 6 children, and 6 grandchildren, and with a possibility of more in the future, her regret would be that she missed out on that.
Angie's sister reflected on how they shared a bedroom for many years growing up and even though at times it caused huge arguments, it remains a wonderful memory of hers. They had many girl friends coming and going, sleep overs, parties; her home was a regular hang out for neighborhood kids.
Angie was a very compassionate person and cared a lot for her friends and family -she would do anything to help them. She had children at a young age, and we should state, Angie would be adamant on reminding everyone she was not 15, but in fact 17! ..........
But regardless Mike and Curtis were then and will always be her pride and joy.
One day when the lady met this fellow (Doug), who was busy with children of his own.............
and they knew that it was much more than a hunch, that this group must some how form a family......
Angie knew how lucky she was to have more children in her life! And loved them all through to the end, her only despair was not being able to do more for each of them.
Angela took great pleasure in having a full house, but she pretty much worshiped the sun and was always outside enjoying what nature had to share. Back in the day you would have called her a river rat. She lived for taking the kids to any body of water; she loved canoeing, fishing, all those outdoor activities; she enjoyed BBQing MASSIVE pieces of meat (or technically made Doug do it) but feeding an army was a delightful norm for Angie. She always opened her home for anyone she felt was a little lost, or just needed some support, or just hungry.
Ang will not only be remember for just her compassion for others and love for life, but also her "F" you attitude, especially for ignorance. There wasn't much stupidity Angie would tolerate without making it known. But she was strong, and passionate, bright, and kind-hearted. It is so tragic to think about Angie's untimely passing. Her life was cut far too short. She will be forever missed and grieved by many.

Archangel Michael I call upon your strength and your love for me, to come and bathe me in your powerful energies of clearing, healing, and protection. Take from me any energies that I may have taken in from others, that do not serve the good in me. Clear away any unloving energy that I may have created for myself through thoughts, conversations, or feelings which do not serve my highest good. Take your energy sword and cut away from me any cords and threads from the past, that block me from living my best life. Raise up my energy in all of my body's brighten it, lighten it, so that I may express joy gratitude and love throughout my life. I call on you, dear Michael to protect me through all I do, empowering me with courage and the strength to see me through. Remind me to be compassionate with myself and to others in my thoughts, words, and actions. Help me to be a shining light for myself and for others as I walk this earth. And so it is.
Amen.
