Aim: To ship units of oxygen concentrators developed by Australian Technology/Manufactures to India.
Sentient Oxygen based in Melbourne, Australia has the potential to ship SentOx Oxygen Concentrators across India in places of need.
Price of Oxygen Concentrator- $1000/ Unit
Price of NOTUS Ventilator - $18,000 / Unit
I have created this fundraiser to help India fight the Covid-19 crisis by helping it with supplying Oxygen Concentrators and Ventilators developed by Australian Technology.
This way all the funds stay in Australia and benefit the local supply chain and entities and at the same time help India with the equipment they need to fight the crisis rather than donating money through third party charities.
I am also coordinating the shipment of ventilators from Australia to India. If anyone wishes to donate such equipment please email me or leave a comment on this fundraiser page.
The second wave of corona virus has been deadly for India. An acute shortage of oxygen and other medical equipment, as well as a lack of beds in many hospitals, is adding to the crisis.
One of the telltale symptoms of COVID-19 is shortness of breath, which can be followed by pneumonia as the lungs fill with fluid. In the most severe cases, COVID-19 can cause acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), which is a form of lung failure.
Patients with ARDS are often unable to breathe on their own and require support from a ventilator. Because of this, oxygen is a crucial treatment for many patients with severe COVID-19.
With Funds raised, I want Australian based companies developing high quality oxygen concentrators to be supplied to India in locations where they are needed the most. The aim is to ship 30 such units to India.
I call the Australian Community to help India to keep up with demand for oxygen, with reports of hospitals pleading for supplies and families left to frantically source their own way out.
The internet is flooded with information about the shortage of such equipment. I list a few citations including the Indian Space Research Organisation looking for a partner to produce oxygen concentrators.
