Will's Fight Against Cancer

Donation protected
To all my friends and family out there, as well as those who may not know me, many of you may or may not know I have recently been diagnosed with testicular cancer.  I underwent an orchiotemy (removal of the left testicle and tumor) in July of this year. Post surgical blood levels had returned to normal and the CT showed nothing of concern. That was until an ordered PET scan showed that the cancer has spread to multiple areas in my body. I am ordered to start 4 months of BEP chemotherapy  in less than two weeks, yet a second opinion is conflicting and needs attention. I have very minimal means to make drawn out, well thought out intelligent decisions at this point.

A few of you have asked about donations to help with my family's  situation. As I'm sure you all can imagine, the medical bills are piling up unbelievably and the typical living expenses continue on. Not to mention our savings have been depleted. I am a father of three daughters, Kayla(who is out of the house) and August and Scarlett who are 6yrs and 4yrs respectively. I am also the  husband of the most beautiful and kind woman I've ever known. This is a battle I must win for them. They all rely on me for everything and they need me to be around for them for a long time.

I am creating this GoFundMe page for three reasons.

One; The medical bills that need to be dealt with. They are high and considerably rising.

Two; I am being asked to travel to the University of Indiana to see Dr. Lawrence Einhorn, who many believe is the best in the business. He was Lance Armstrong's doctor during his ordeal and you see how well that worked for Lance. This is very important to me and currently I can't afford to do this financially..

Three; This experience has given me the desire to use it as a platform to spread the word about Testicular Cancer. It is a legitimate threat to men, young, healthy, active or not. It has also given me the desire to start a website dedicated to the cause, a blog, vlog and eventually a podcast to bring in experts, patients and anyone that has been affected by this disease. I believe I can make it work well enough to reach many people as I have friends and acquaintances in all corners of this country. I also know this is a heavy load to try and take on, but the experience, mixed with all of the positive feedback I have received has given me the courage and confidence to give it my all. I have set all pride aside to do whatever I need to do as a man, father and husband. Asking for help is not my forte, but if it will save my family from hardship and likewise make a positive impact on a community that needs it, I'm all over it. I apologize if this is long winded, but I haven't been able to stop thinking about this since I got the news and especially since I've seen how many people in my life and on facebook have responded with extreme positivity and words of care and concern. There are so many good people out there and I feel like this is my chance to do something amazing and to help people from a platform I have never had. I will use facebook for now to keep you all up to date on my progress, both in health, as well as the media I plan on creating. Thanks to all of you. The love has been overpowering. Many blessings to you all.

Sincerely,
Will
