In 2021, my life took an unexpected turn when I was diagnosed with End Stage Kidney Failure. This condition has drastically changed my daily routine, as I now rely on dialysis several times a week to keep my body functioning while I await a kidney transplant. This new routine has taken time away from my daily commitments, such as going to school & going to work. The journey has been arduous, and has affected my life physically, mentally, and financially. Current, I am on the transplant list at Scripps, where the average wait time for a kidney is around five years, unless I am fortunate enough to find a living donor who can help. Whenever I receive the call that a transplant is available, I have to drop everything and travel to the transplant center. Along with staying a month in the area of the hospital to manage my transplant. I’m asking if anyone would be generous to help support my journey when my time comes for my transplant, whenever that time comes. Despite the overwhelming challenges, I try to maintain a hopeful outlook for the future, and remain strong in my faith; that God has a plan/purpose for me.
