Rent Deposit for My Nephew and Kids

Dear Friends,

Cynthia here. I am raising money to help a family in need in my personal community. My nephew is raising his kids on his own several hours away from family. They have had more than their share of struggles this year, including going without heat at times and not having a vehicle. Our family wants to help him move closer. One family member has offered childcare. A couple of us are making an older minivan road-safe for his family. Others have offered food or help with the move.

I had planned to put out a donation hat at our annual Solstice concert this month to raise money to help them with their move, but we had to cancel our program this year, due to serious illnesses on both sides of our family. My goal is to raise $1,000 to pay for some of the rent and security deposit. Thank you for helping out.
