Our sweet 4-year-old Izzy is going to be having open-heart surgery at the end of July. Her medical expenses are covered by insurance, thank God! This amount we are raising is to cover travel, lodging, food, and bills while Izzy is in surgery and recovering.

This will be the second heart surgery that she will be having. The surgery will finish the stint they put in when she was six months old, completing the process of sealing up half of her heart. The recovery process is slower due to having to reopen her chest and making sure the stint is working the way it is intended.

My husband doesn’t have any PTO, so we will be without income while he’s off, and we (along with my parents, who will be watching our 3-year-old while we are in the hospital) will be traveling to another state for her surgery.
