Hi, my name is Darren and I’m trying to raise funds for an amazing kid I know called Izzy. Izzy had spinal surgery almost a year ago that was intended to give her a better quality of life. Unfortunately things did not go to plan and she has been left paralysed from the neck down. She and her family will need constant support to try to keep her as comfortable as possible while medical counsel is sought to see what can be done. Funds have been raised already, but the more funds, the more opportunities. Such is life. I’m going to run the Galway half marathon this coming Saturday October 3rd, 2026. This is my challenge, my way of seeing what I can do to help raise much needed funds. Please give what you can, indeed if you can.
