Izzy’s Fight Against Epilepsy

We have been blessed with an energetic, sassy, loving talented daughter. She loves to play baseball, basketball, has been enrolled in dance since the age of three, and also plays the clarinet. She’s a girl who is always looking forward to a new challenge or adventure until recently. Izzy suffered a Grand Mal seizure in May of this year. After many tests including a CT,MRI, and multiple EEGs she was diagnosed with a form of Epilepsy( Intractable) We have been to many Doctors and have attempted different medications with no luck of gaining control. She has had a total of twelve Grand Mal seizures since that initial seizure in May. Izzy is a fighter and refuses to let this situation get the best of her. She is tough and so fearless a quality I admire in her so much. She refuses to admit how tired and worn down she has become from this journey. She is right there to greet every nurse, Dr, and specialist with a smile and a joke. Our hope with the help of genetic testing is to figure out how a perfectly healthy ten year old has had her life turned upside down. We have created this Go Fund me to offset the cost of Medical Bills, Seizure Monitoring Devices, and to contribute to a third opinion at the Pediatric Epilepsy Center located in Boston. Please keep Izzy and our family in your hearts and prayers as she continues her fight to kick epilepsy’s butt!
