Hello! I’m fundraising on behalf of my wife, Isabelle. She is getting facial feminization surgery (FFS) and unfortunately it’s not covered by insurance. She’ll be having surgery on March 17th. A lot of insurance companies don’t consider FFS to be a medically necessary part of transition even though there’s a lot of evidence that for a lot of people, it is.

We will have to take out a loan to pay for this surgery for her since it has to be paid for upfront and will cost us around $16,000. So we were hoping to offset some of the cost by asking for help to pay for this surgery for her. Unfortunately, it’s very expensive to be trans. So we appreciate any amount of help, big or small.
