Around Thanksgiving 2024, my life changed all at once.
At the same time my company turned their back on me, my teenage daughter, Izzy, was quietly losing a very serious mental health battle. As a mother, there was no choice—I stepped in and got her the care she needed, no matter the cost.
That care helped save her… but it came at an overwhelming financial price.
Despite having insurance, over $147,000 of her treatment was not covered. I took that on to make sure she was safe, stable, and still here. I would do it again without hesitation—but the financial impact has been devastating.
Many people know me as a strong, steady, “handle anything” kind of person in our community. Because of that, this is not easy for me to share.
But strength also means knowing when it’s time to ask for help.
Behind the scenes, I’ve been doing everything I can to hold it together—continuing to work, show up, and push forward—but the weight of these expenses has caught up with me. I am now at a point where I truly need support to stabilize.
Yesterday, I sat and watched my two children play in the sunshine for hours—just laughing. Even if things still feel gray at times, Izzy was the light.
That moment reminded me why I made every decision I did.
As we approach Izzy’s birthday, we’re not asking for gifts or celebrations.
What we truly need is help recovering from the financial impact of saving her life.
My goal is to raise $50,000 toward these past medical expenses so we can begin to breathe again and rebuild.
If you’re able to give, share, or support in any way—it would mean more than I can put into words. And if you can’t, simply sharing this story is a gift in itself.
Thank you for seeing us, supporting us, and being part of our village during a time we truly need it.
