Izzy’s Bar-Mitzvah Torah Scroll
Donation protected
Although Izzy has already outlived his diminutive life expectancy of 8-9 years, we are cautiously optimistic that he will defy the overwhelming odds against him, and reach his Bar Mitzvah, 13th birthday. His being nonverbal and incapable of comprehending even the most rudimentary of cognitive concepts, renders him incapable of enjoying and performing at his Bar Mitzvah as a typical child would. Therefore, his family is undertaking to raise the requisite funds in order to have a Torah scroll newly scribed in his honor (and/or memory). We aspire to inaugurate this Torah scroll at Izzy‘s Bar Mitzvah celebration, or should it be the Omnipresent G-d‘s will, in commemoration of his life, at the occasion, which would have been his 13th Bar Mitzvah birthday celebration.
