This October, I’ll be taking on the Chichester 10 miler to raise money for YoungMinds Trust, a charity dedicated to supporting the mental health of young people across the UK. Over the past few years, I’ve personally faced some very difficult challenges with my own mental health. I know firsthand how tough it can be to ask for help, but if there’s one thing I’ve learnt, it’s that reaching out is not a sign of weakness, it’s an act of strength. No matter how big or small your struggles may feel, please know that your feelings are valid and that you are not alone. I’m still on my own journey, filled with many highs and lows, and while I’m not exactly where I want to be yet, I’ve come to understand that it’s okay not to have everything figured out. Healing takes time, and it’s not a linear process. I’m not just running for myself, I’m running for the countless young people who are struggling silently. Mental health is often invisible, which is why it’s so easy to miss. Just because someone looks okay, doesn’t mean that they are. Checking in on those around you is so important, because you never truly know what someone may be facing behind closed doors. Sometimes the smallest gesture is all it takes to remind someone that they matter.
Thank you in advance for your contribution to a cause that means so much to me!
