I'm a transgender woman who is scheduled for bottom surgery. This surgery will greatly reduce my gender dysphoria and help me live a more fulfilled (and safer!) life as a woman. 

I've devoted my life to teaching, and while I'm lucky to be better off than many trans women, I live paycheck-to-paycheck, and can't fully afford major surgery on my own.

I'm excited to be "upgrading to indoor plumbing," and I could use your help to make it affordable for me. I'm lucky enough to have insurance, which makes it possible for me to even consider this surgery, Even so the costs will be a major strain for my family. Any help you can give will make a big difference.

My surgery (or as my friends have been referring to it, "Izzy's Taco Tuesday") is 3 months out. Every dollar I can raise between now and then will help me immensely.
