Izzy's Kenyan Adventure

Hi, during last summer I participated in the NCS program. This is a locally organised charity that brings young adults from all walks of life together and helps them raise money for local charities. Its a great scheme and gives people the opportunity to help their community.
As part of this a small group were chosen to help with an international education project. In 2020 this project is in Kenya. The project involves refurbishing a school and helping the children. There is an element of fun involved too with days out etc. I see this trip as a great opportunity to help people and to expand my own horizons and to gain experience of the wider world. 

Needless to say this trip is quite expensive I am fundraising with the group holding events such as quiz nights and car boot sales but most of the funding is coming from my parents (thanks folks!!).

I would like to raise a bit of extra money to take over some much needed items to make the Kenyan children's life a bit better. I aim to take a spare suitcase over and fill it with educational supplies (books, pencils, paper and anything else that isn't readily available to these children). Also some fun items such as footballs and skipping ropes.
