Izzy is the spunky young Dachshund always found by Brandon's side, at home, in the bike shop, even at the top of a mountain. She loves riding shotgun - weiner dogs are pretty short so the front seat of a lifted truck gives her a great view.  She loves the wind blowing in her ears...
...But last week, a squirrel must have caught her eye because she unexpectedly jumped out the window.   She took a pretty hard fall and ended up fracturing her femur in multiple places, requiring emergency surgery.   
She's on the mend (thanks Carl the shop cat), but the unexpected medical bills have been a bit overwhelming.  Brandon has received a generous donation from his boss, Todd and wife Shelly, but there are more medical expenses and post-op treatment to come...

Lesson learned about riding with the windows down, this was a terrible accident - at this point, we're trying to focus on her care and recovery - the most important thing!
