Izu's Class Trip To Spain
Donation protected
Hi, my name Izuchukwu Nwokolo. I am 17 years old and I’m a junior at University of Detroit Jesuit High School in Detroit Michigan. I want to go to Spain this summer and you can help me by contributing to my fundraiser. To go to Spain, I need your help in raising $3,000.
Each year, my Spanish teacher takes 25 students to Spain for 2 weeks. I was lucky to be one of the chosen few this year. During this trip, I will stay with a Spanish family, eat Spanish foods and learn about Spanish culture. I will be able to see cultural events like bullfighting and understand what it looks like, what the rules are, and why people do it. Another event I would be able to see is The Crema, which happens every year. During this event, Spanish people build huge statues that they then burn. I don’t know a lot about this event, but I would like to learn more and see it in person. I will also get to do other cool things, like going water rafting and hanging out on beautiful Spanish beaches. Also, I am a big fan of Real Madrid and I want to see the stadium where they play their home games.
Most importantly, I will learn how to be more independent, and I hope to learn more about myself and other people. I want to start learning what I like and what I dislike. I also want to learn how I am different from other people and how I am like them.
As a thank you to everyone who supports me, I will be sending a personal thank you note and postcard. I will create an online photo album, where I will post pictures every day of all the new and different things I am doing in Spain. Finally, after my trip, I can be your source of information in case you ever want to visit Spain. When you call me, I can tell you about my experience and to help you understand if you would enjoy visiting Spain.
