Wow, so many of you have been calling and inquiring how you can help.  The fact that you care has meant so much!  
What a wonderful joy to have friends like you along with two lovely girls, three talented young men for the perfect enhancement in my life.  As always, each of my children in their own special way kicked in to help their mother right after my surgery. They cooked, cleaned, sang and read to me.  All the while bringing me food and cool beverages to keep me comfortable.  
The day after my surgery, we experience an unfortunate mishap.  In an endeavor to create a warm and cozy environment we lit a fire in our fireplace and as the evening drew to an end, the ashes were discarded in our outside receptacle.  It is believed that those ashes caught our home on fire.  Friends and neighbors assisted.  The Fire Department was called and policemen came.  Although we have experienced damage and loss I still have the most important things in my life.  My family!!
We're starting over with needs for shelter, clothing, and basic necessities yet we still have joy because we have one another.  
There have been so many kind gestures and offers to assist which we are so humbly and gratefully appreciated.   A friend suggested that we utilize this site for greater organization of donations in an effort to help my family rebuild.
