Ivy came home 5 years ago one sunny October morning. 6lbs soaking wet and smaller than the size of her full grown head now. Since arriving, she's grown into a loving and stoic caregiver. Working long days as a stay at home therapist (of sorts) to any passerby who may give into her gravitas.

Unfortunately, Ivy's knees were only meant to carry the weight of the world and recently, its seemed to get heavier. Cruciate Ligament Disease came as a diagnosis for Ivy's hind knees in June of 2025 after a tough limp that never left. The doctor told us that her legs would not recover and likely get worse without surgical intervention until eventually she could not walk without constant pain if she could walk at all. Since June, it is apparent that the constant pain is here, and her mobility is on the decline.

Given the importance of Ivy's role in the greater good, it seemed prudent to address this issue as soon as possible. I am happy to share that Ivy's new knees are scheduled to happen on Friday November 21st, and they come at a cost thats small in her eyes but rather large in function. Given the severity of her mobility impairment, I could not wait long enough to garner the funds in their entirety and humbly ask for support in keeping my best friend going as she is only five and has so much to catch up on.

Ivy's recovery will be about a 3 months process with the first 10 weeks being the most crucial for healing. Come March of 2026, I hope to update with some sprints, hops, and a happy tail from Ivy herself.

Thank you all for taking the time to read and/or support.
Ivy and I are full of gratitude and hope!

Sincerely,
Claudio
