Ivy’s knee surgery

Ivy is the 2-year-old pitbull mix I adopted in September.

It was obvious she had just been separated from puppies and then dumped somewhere.

We are positive she was without resources for a period of time because she drinks water like she won't be able to find more, and attempts to eat sticks and plants frequently.

In November, she started limping and walking or running on three legs. After taking her to the vet, we discovered that her kneecap is too shallow, and it makes the kneecap move to the side instead of remaining where it should be.

The only way to fix it is surgery. We are told that we won't know if any of her tendons are torn until they open her leg up. Because of this, the cost of her surgery could range from $4,000-$6,000. I am anticipating the worst-case scenario. But if we raise the majority of it, I would be able to manage a Care Credit Card for the remainder of the cost.
