Ivy needs hearing aids!

We have contacted lions lighthouse they will not help us. She has insurance and they offer hearing aids to people without insurance.
Okay, let’s start from the beginning. Ivy was born with hearing loss. We have been sitting on the idea of hearing aids since birth but the doctors wanted to wait and see if she regained some hearing over the years with growth because some of her hearing loss is structural.
We went to the hearing aid consultation on January 16th at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. We looked at the BAHA ( Bone Anchored Hearing Aid) she got to pick out the color of headband that she wanted. She chose teal and pink! Then they wanted to talk with me about our insurance and how much it would cost. She said that thankfully our insurance covers the mandatory $3,000 that Georgia makes insurance cover but her hearing aids are $8,000, and we can’t order them until the price is paid in full.
So I left the appointment distraught, very upset not knowing where we would pull $5,000 from. We go to speech, occupational therapy, and physical therapy almost 4 hours a week that we pay out of pocket for. She needs these hearing aids to help with these therapies. She falls so much due to her imbalance issues and she gets very upset when she can not communicate what she wants to because of her speech issues.
I am not one to ask for help, or even tell people what is going on health wise. We have kept this to ourselves for the most part because it has been a very long journey for us, but a few people close to me have suggested a gofundme to help with the costs so that we can get her the hearing aids that she needs sooner. She’s literally waited her whole life for them. If you can help, anything will help. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this.
