We’re The Momtourage — a group of like-minded women who met through our kids. Over the past five years, we’ve raised our children side by side, becoming a chosen family of moms who lean on each other in all the chaos, joy, and challenges of life.

Now, we’re rallying together in a way we never imagined we’d have to.

Our dear friend Ivonne has been diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer.

This diagnosis has turned her world upside down. She now faces an aggressive treatment plan — including chemotherapy, surgery, and radiation — all while trying to hold on to her strength, her spirit, and some kind of normal for her family.

Ivonne is a fighter. She’s also a devoted mother, loving wife, and an incredible friend. She’s the one who shows up — the one who gives, supports, and uplifts. And now, it’s our turn to show up for her.

A Note from Ivonne

"Hi, my name is Ivonne. On May 15, 2025, I received the life-altering news that I had been diagnosed with breast cancer. It’s a moment that changed everything — not just for me, but for my two children: Destiny (23) and Malik (10).

Telling my daughter was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done, but she’s been a pillar of strength for me. My son doesn’t yet know about my diagnosis. I’m waiting until I have more clarity, so I can guide him through this in a way that’s filled with love and security. As a mother, your instinct is always to protect your children — but sometimes, life hands you something you simply can’t shield them from.

I never expected this to be part of my story. I’ve found myself asking, “Why me?” many times. But I’m holding tight to my faith in God, trusting that there is purpose in this journey — and believing that I’ll come out of it stronger.

Since the diagnosis, my days have been filled with appointments, tests, and overwhelming unknowns. I’m currently unable to work, and the financial strain of navigating cancer treatment is something I could never have prepared for.
