Hi! Thank you for checking out our GoFundMe. Our names are Chase & Alexis Lucas. We have been married for close to a year and have been together for almost 3 years.

In September of 2023, we found out we were pregnant. The amount of overwhelming joy we felt was honestly indescribable. Alexis found out she was pregnant at the same time as her twin sister, which, as you could imagine, was the best feeling in the world. A couple of weeks later, after sharing and celebrating with friends and family, we experienced our first miscarriage. We were heartbroken and did not understand why.

We then continued to try and get pregnant naturally and medicated and received our next positive test 22 months later. That too ended in a miscarriage. With lots of testing and procedures/scans done, it turns out my husband and I both have very good egg and sperm quality. I’m sure you’re wondering, “then why aren’t you pregnant?” Great question, we wondered that too. Our infertility is unexplainable; our doctor is unsure why because we truly should be able to get pregnant without doing medicated cycles, but we have been unsuccessful. He didn’t want to have us do IUI because he thinks it would be a waste of money and more heartbreak; typically, you do those if they believe there is an issue with the sperm or egg quality/function, which there is not. So we are now recommended to start IVF.

As you know, this process is not easy nor cheap for anyone. And I truly didn’t think we would even have to get to this point. But here we are. We are starting this GoFundMe in hopes to financially help afford all of the payments for treatment and medication. With insurance, we are expected to pay $6,000-$7,000 for medication alone. Our insurance will cover 90% of the treatment, which will leave us with 10% remaining of that bill, which results in close to $11,000 total for everything, if not more.

We have wanted to be parents so bad, and we remained patient and hopeful. But this journey is not working out in our favor. We are working as much as we can, in hopes to help reach our goal but we cannot do this alone. If you could donate or even just share this post, it would mean the world to us. We appreciate it ❤️
