Donation protected
Hi my name is Hayley and ive been asked to set up this GoFundMe on behalf of my friend Brianne.
It has been suggested to Brianne by many friends and clients at work thats she sets up this GoFundMe and as Brianne is quite a private person she has put it off for quite some while, however she is now at a point where she feels this is their last hope.
Please read on for their story.
Brianne & Deans Story:
We started our journey over 7 years ago.
We wanted to conceive naturally & tried for 5 years until we started to truly question what was going wrong. After seeking advice & having tests done, we found out that our chances of conceiving naturally were well below realistic chances.
We were advised about IVF & after some extra research we decided that was the best option for us.
Our first IVF embryo transfer started off as a success & I became pregnant with a boy, something we both had hoped for right from the start. However, 22 weeks into my pregnancy I started getting pains & signs that things weren’t right. Nobody wanted to acknowledge it & sent us away with the ideas of phantom pains.
At 25 weeks & 3 days, I was in the hospital, pleading with the nurses to help me as I was certain I was in labour. After spending hours in the hallway, I was eventually taken into a room & only an hour or two later, I had prematurely given birth to our baby boy.
Due to how early he had been born though, there were complications and he was swiftly taken from us & rushed into the ICU. We waited for what felt like forever for someone to tell us something & the news we finally received was the news we had been dreading. Our baby boy had passed away, after only being in the world for almost 2 hours.
We were devastated. Heartbroken.
We sought council for our grief & still struggle with it to this day. What if they had listened to us sooner? Was it my fault?
After a couple of months, we contacted the IVF clinic again & asked about another attempt. They told us that we still had some embryo’s left to attempt further goes at becoming a parent.
We tried twice more, the first becoming a chemical pregnancy but the second one gave us hope as I became pregnant again.
This hope was swiftly taken from us, after complications at the 6 week mark saw that small life taken from us too.
Our last attempt was paid for out of savings, the embryo that we had left didn’t take & now we have been left with no attempts left, without significant cost.
We are grateful for the NHS’s system that allowed us to have our first three attempts for free & we are happy that it is available to every woman who has dreams of one day having a family, but once those attempts are over, the cost is just too much to try and save for it alone.
Our life goal is to have a family & all we wish for us to have a healthy baby to love & care for, which is all any parents ask for.
The goal of our GoFundMe is to raise a chunk of money to go towards our next IVF. Anything that you can donate is greatly appreciated & will go towards making our dreams of becoming a full family, a very hopeful reality.
Thank you for reading our story about our journey.
Best Wishes,
Brianne & Dean.
