IVF Journey to Baby Saunders
Donation protected
Most girls dream of being doctors, nurses, lawyers, or even governors. The only dream I’ve ever had is to carry a child of my own and to be a mom. I am fortunate enough to have a Bonus daughter, so I have the privilege to be a Bonus MOM!! When I was 23 I was diagnosed with PCOS, which is polycystic ovarian syndrome. It causes infertility, excess weight, hair loss on your head, but excess hair growth on other parts of your body, and irregular menstrual cycles. Basically my ovaries look like I’m packing around two bundles of broccoli. My husband, Ryan and I are currently going through the process for IVF. After many years of not using contraception, trying holistic options and two failed IUI cycles. We have decided with our doctor IVF is the best option for us to conceive. IVF will take my chances of conceiving from 15% with IUI to 54% with IVF. Ryan and I are both fully committed to doing whatever it takes to have a child of our own. We have and are still researching all the different finance options. All of those options of course come with a monthly payment. IVF is something that most insurance companies consider elective which is funny because I didn’t elect to have PCOS, It was just the cards I was dealt. One cycle of IVF is $20,000 and an additional $2000 to $5000 each transfer.(if the first round isn’t successful) I know there is some political debates against/for IVF so to be clear, we will only be doing singleton embryo per transfer. This will reduce the need for select reduction. If you are willing and able to help us out, it is greatly appreciated. We don’t want anyone to put themselves in a spot just to help us out. If financially you’re unable to help, we definitely understand and would appreciate good positive vibes and prayers for our journey. Also, a quick share of our GFM story would be great! Thank you for reading our story and thank you in advance for any and all help you can offer.
