Male fertility doesn’t get talked about enough, so here’s our “why.” After years of trying for a baby, we faced countless negative pregnancy tests despite everything seeming normal. After further testing, we received unexpected news—my husband has a zero sperm count. We were referred to a fertility clinic, where we learned that while he does produce sperm, it cannot travel naturally due to a genetic condition linked to cystic fibrosis. This means our only path to having a biological child is through IVF.

Although this journey has been emotional, overwhelming, and financially challenging, we also received a blessing—I am not a carrier of cystic fibrosis, so our future children will not have the disease. IVF is now our hope. It’s not the path we imagined, but it’s the path leading us toward our dream of becoming parents.
