Hello everybody,
Thank you for clicking on this link and taking the time out of your day to stop by. We are on here to talk about a little hiccup we have in trying to create a family, but before I dive in, we would like to introduce ourselves.
Our names are Jayme and Zacchary and we have been married for three years now. We grew up together on the island of Maui, Hawaii and have known each other since middle school. We went on with our lives and did not reconnect until 2020. When we reconnected we just knew we were meant to be together and the rest was history. Throughout our years together, we have opened our doors to helping friends and family. Allowing us to help them with a home to stay, food to eat, and a safe zone. Growing up Jayme helped raised her siblings and loved raising kids with the hopes of one day raising her own. We finally decided we wanted to create a family of our own and began trying to conceive.
We always believed in Gods timing and having a family naturally. After trying to conceive for 3 years and not having any success we decided to go to a fertility clinic. After some testing, we unfortunately were faced with the news that Jayme has both fallopian tubes blocked. Fallopian tubes play a vital role in conceiving because that is where the sperm and egg meet, therefore with both tubes being blocked there is no way for that to happen. With that, our doctor said that the only way for us to conceive is through IVF. We would’ve never thought that IVF would be our only way to create a family but we still have faith that God has great plans for us. We have already spent so much out of pocket for testing and medical bills but this is what we were quoted for IVF.
The IVF package we were quoted is $18,287.50 which includes:
- One retrieval
- Monitoring Ultrasounds x4
- Monitoring Bloodwork x4
- One egg retrieval w/anesthesia
- Optimum sperm prep
- Assisted Hatching
- ICSI
- Premium embryo culture
- Thaw&Prep of embryos
- Preservation of eggs
- Genetic testing
- Frozen embryo transfer
Medications:
- Retrieval Meds: $5,000
- Frozen Embryo Transfer: $2,000
Total: $7000
This does not include any pregnancy charges after a confirmed pregnancy test.
Total cost of IVF around $25,000
Unfortunately our insurances do not cover any IVF procedures or medications so this would all have to be out of pocket. We have tried applying for some loans but were unsuccessful. We are determined to start a wonderful family of our own and will continue to do whatever it takes. Although we have handled the news well, we still stress financially on how to even begin. It’s taken a toll mentally and physically but we are not going to give up because this is something we’ve dreamt of having and that is becoming wonderful parents to beautiful children of our own.
Again, we never wanted to be in this situation nor ask for help of any kind, but if you feel it in your heart to donate towards our someday baby, we cannot thank you enough. If you made it this far, we appreciate every single one of you and it truly means so much to us. Thank you for believing in us, having faith and supporting our journey. We hope to have a positive outcome one day and to be able to share that blessing with each and every one of you.
Love,
Zacchary & Jayme
