IVF Hope for Crystle and Daniel

Donation protected
Hello everyone! For those of you who don't know me, my name is Crystle and my husband's name is Daniel. Life has always been a beautiful journey for us together, yet we have always known and felt we were missing something. Daniel and I have been together for 18 years this year. We have actively tried for over 10 years to get pregnant. Throughout the years, we found out what was causing our infertility issues and started to do some treatment. I had a hydrosalpinx on my left fallopian tube. I also have PCOS and endometriosis. We were able to have surgery and remove my left fallopian tube, which was one cause of the infertility issues we faced. After a few rounds of Clomid and some other medication to help with the infertility, the next step was IVF. We knew we could not afford that and had to stop our journey there. That was almost 7 years ago. Daniel and I finally came to terms that if we never had children of our own, at least we have been able to help others. Maybe this is what we were here for, and we were okay with that. We raised our nephews for 7 years and also have been there for other family members' children when the parents needed to do some self-care to become better parents. We now work with teen boys, and the difference we can make in their lives fulfills us so much, but we don't want to throw away our dreams of being parents just yet.

We both are 38. The years are passing by. Recently, it has been heavy on my heart. We started doing research and found a great place for IVF. The only problem is that the cost is far more than we can afford now alone, although it is an amazing price. We started working with the infertility place. It was recommended that we do four cycles of IVF. For four cycles of IVF, it is $20,000. That does not include the medication that is needed for each cycle, which will range from $1,000-$4,000. That is just a start to the costs, not including travel expenses, time off work, etc. I know everyone has fallen on tough times right now, but I wanted to put my ego and pride aside and finally ask for help when it is my least favorite thing to do. Being a mother has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember, and Daniel has always dreamed the same dream. I'm not ready to give it up yet. I am willing to try everything in my power to make our dream of having a child come true.

I want to thank you all for taking the time to read this. Thank you for hearing our story.
