Hello Everyone!
We are Justin & Lee Ann, and we are writing this as we attempt to grow our family. Our story began when we met at our job in 2012, and began dating shortly afterwards. We married in May of 2015 and have always talked and planned to have children. We moved into our first place right after the wedding, renting a townhouse. We decided that when we move into a place of our own the time would be right to start a family, and in 2017 we purchased our first home. We have been blessed with an amazing furry family of 3. Our beagle Blitz and 2 cats: Meeko & Gizmo, who keep our lives interesting with their drastically differing personalities and sometimes crazy antics.
After a few months of being unsuccessful on our own, we finally decided to seek out a fertility specialist. We agreed to start with IUI treatments because of low tech option, and it is covered by our insurance. So the cycle of monthly medications began.
Unfortunately month after month we were met with disappointment, and then finally we received the news we were looking for, a positive test result. Sadly it was not meant to be. So, we decided after a consultation with our doctor we decided to continue with the IUI treatments for a few more rounds to see if we would be able to achieve a successful pregnancy. After many prayers and attempts, we have not been able to achieve another positive test result through IUI. After our last consult with our doctor, he recommended moving on to the IVF program to give us the best chance of success.
We had a difficult choice ahead of us. We reside in Pennsylvania which does not require insurance companies to provide coverage for the IVF procedure. Our insurance will not cover any of that cost. The price tag we are faced with is about $33,000 out of our pocket. After talking we decided that we are not going to let money be the deciding factor in how we grow our family. It’s hard and a little scary to ask for help in achieving this goal. It’s something very close to our hearts and growing our family means more than the world to us. We know and understand how crazy the times are for not just us, but everyone. The past year has not been easy. We trust in God and know that he will provide no matter what.
Any contributions we may receive will only go towards this pregnancy, and hopefully baby. We are hoping to achieve our goal by the end of December 2021.
Thank You All and God Bless!
