Ivey Family tornado relief
Donation protected
April 12th an EF 3 tornado hit Chattanooga and caused so much damage to many families in the East Brainerd area. Melinda and Steve Ivey and Joe Lane’s home was one of the homes in the line of the storms. They were able to make it to the bathroom just as the tornado was approaching and luckily nobody received any injuries. Their home has a lot of damage...several trees landed on the home with one of them coming through the roof, a window was blown out, several portions of the roof are missing and they have extensive water damage inside. It is going to be very expensive to repair the home and unfortunately they do not have homeowners insurance. While they have had so many people help with clean up...putting tarps on the roof, boarding up windows, removing trees off the house and the yard... we would love to be able to help them financially as well. We thought this would be the easiest way to raise money for this sweet family and any amount will mean the world to them. When I asked Melinda if it was ok that we set this up for them her response was exactly what we all thought it would be “oh there is no need to do that, we will be fine”. That is who Melinda is...she would give the shirt off her back to someone in need and it’s our turn to help her. Thank you so much to anyone who is able to help!!
